Editor's Note

October is off to a busy start as many of us are preparing for the busy Holiday season. It's always at this time of year that I truly appreciate being in the entertainment business because I get to share in the experience of spreading joy to so many people either directly through my own shows or indirectly through my Acts, many of whom are booked solid right through the end of the year. September is the start of my business year and I like to plan and set goals for the year ahead during this month, which I did while sitting on the beach in Spain. I was sitting in the sunshine, sipping sangria and had an incredible hour of clarity and reviewed the goals I met last year, decided which goals would roll over into this year, and set five new goals.This process normally takes me the entire month.I guess I'll have to make travelling to Spain in September an annual event. Glo's Music for the Soul Radio Show has moved from Sunday to Friday night and on 4 September I debuted the new two-hour show. Please join me every Friday from 8pm for an eclectic mix of music for the soul covering a variety of genres. If you would like to catch preview shows, click here.   On 17 September I stepped outside of my comfort zone and was the Mistress of Ceremony for the Ladies' Day event at the Southampton Boat Show. Last year I was just an attendee and this year was asked to MC and I said yes before I had too much time to think about it. It turned out to be an amazing event with over 100 ladies dressed to impress in attendance. We laughed, we sang, we danced and generally had a fab time.    Special thanks to Marlene Hill for not only assisting me on the day, plus everyone else! Marlene was the ultimate professionally lending a hand wherever she was asked, including raising over £500 pounds selling raffle tickets. Finally, on the 19 of September GME hosted a Soul/Motown Day at the Waterlooville Bandstand Due to the lovely sunny day, and the awesome GME Acts performing, we had a huge crowd of people singing and dancing along to the timeless music that is Motown! A shout out to Everyday Sunshine and Russell Keith for joining me on stage to present the afternoon's entertainment. GME is so proud of our very own Niqi 'Bupsi' Brown who is showing off her true star-quality on this year's X-Factor. According to judge Cheryl Cole, Bupsi was 'Cowell'd' during her audition for the show.Click here to check out Bupsi's audition. Bupsi got through the audition process and boot camp and will next be fighting for one of those coveted six chairs in the over 25s category. Tune in this Sunday to see if Bupsi get's through to the judges houses! On 11 September GME Artist Russell Keithcame in first place during the first of two semi-finals of Southsea's Got Talent earning himself a place in the final being held on Friday, 16 October. The Jolly Sailor, where the competition is held, is now an official scouting location for Britain's Got Talent and Russell performed at a special Britain's Got Talent audition held at the venue on 3 September. Fingers and toes crossed that Russell get's the call to appear on Britain's Got Talent. In the meantime, We'll be cheering him on at the Final for Southsea's Got Talent.
