Networking at No Man's FortOne of the great perks of being a member of the
Hampshire Chamber of Commerce is the wonderful networking events they offer and being able to visit No-Man's Fort on the Solent last month was a real treat.
No Man's Fort is the largest of the three unique
Solent Forts venues and I was so surprised at how large this Fort actually is. Chamber members and guests were taken on a private tour of the facility including the spacious and bright bar area, the incredible outdoor space perfectly setup for a bit of al fresco fun, weather permitting and the lush accommodations if you wanted to turn your Fort adventure into an overnight stay ... or two!
After being served a light meal, we were left to our own devices to network and wonder around the facility which afforded me the opportunity to re-connect with networking-event regulars, and make new connections in an incredibly relaxed and inviting setting. And the best bit, they have laser tag facilities. A few of us were ready to suit up and have a go, but sadly, that was not part of the event. You probably shouldn't be running around shooting at people who you might want to do business with in the future anyway... LOL!
GME Supports Local Charities
Each year GME selects two Charities to offer our entertainment services to, free of charge. Our next charity event for 2016 is with Breast Cancer Haven who are putting on a Bollywood Disco Party Night at Everest Restaurant in Southampton on 11 November. I will be joining Wave 105 DJ Simon Clarke and some fabulous Bollywood Dancers for a great evening of entertainment, performing my Disco Divas Set.
There are still tickets available for this event, which are £20/pp and includes an all-you-can-eat Indian buffet.
