Summer MadnessAdmittedly, 2016 started off slower than expected for GME however, summer madness has kicked in and my Acts and I are finding ourselves right in the middle of some great summer events. On 10 June
Move On Up performed a Motown/Soul Night at Novotel, Southampton which is a new venue for us, while I found myself in Plymouth shaking a tailfeather as Tina Turner at Grosvenor Casino. The next day I joined Move On Up at the ElectroLove 80's Stage at the Isle of Wight Festival performing our
Simply, Tina Turner Tribute Show to a massive crowd of screaming Tina fans.
Another great event in June was the Casino Night GME hosted for Lee-On-Solent Tennis Club's Summer Ball featuring
Supremely, Diana Ross along with a Fun Casino and DJ; each element creating a fun-filled evening for the Club's members and guests. If you want to plan your own Casino Night or any other Themed Night of entertainment,

The fun continued into July at Lee Tennis Club with the wedding of Mark & Tracy on 2 July with Move On Up delivering two high-powered sets for this lovely couple. Mark & Tracy gave both the band and GME five stars for performance and customer service.
Later in the month, original band
Mayfield will be performing at a secret festival on the 16th. It's so secret in fact that I have yet to be given the festival's address.
Age is Just a Number ...
... and a big one for me! on the 6th of July I turned 50 years old. I am still trying to wrap my brain around the fact that I've lived half a century. Something about turning 50 makes you want to reflect so this weekend I am off to Brighton for a meditation retreat. Over the course of three days there will be five one-hour meditation sessions, and I have no idea how I'm going to sit still for that long. The most I've done in one meditation session has been 30 minutes. I am looking forward to remembering how far I've come and looking forward to what the future may hold. I just hope I can stay awake during the sessions ... LOL!
On my birthday my friend Marlene and I spent the day in London and then joined Lionel Richie at the O2 for an unforgettable night of music! I cannot think of a better way to spend a 50th birthday.
I hope you're having a lovely summer so far and thank you so much for your continued support.
